Society would do well to take heed from history. No culture, none, has ever thrived after knowing and rejecting the ways of God. From without and from within, the decay and downfall has been visibly there for all, who really have a desire to see it.

Truly, it's time for the Lord to give one last divine mercy call to America. We are speeding towards the place where God's justice must become our portion.

If you and I want to see the triumph of mercy, then we only have one choice now. We must cry out! It is time for You to act, Oh Lord, it's time to pray!

Pray For a Better Boy http://itstimetopray.org/radio-devotionals/pray-for-a-better-boy/ Tue, 15 Jan 2019 05:01:00 +0000 itstimetopray.org http://itstimetopray.org/?post_type=podcast&p=296728 We have a wonderful Worldwide Prayer Meeting here in New York City every Tuesday night at 7PM until 8:30PM Eastern Time. You can join us here or live on the Internet at itstimetopray.org. God is answering our prayers. Would you join with me today as we pray for a young man from New York, who submitted this prayer request on December the 4th.

Here's what he says, "pray for my anger and outbursts, pray for my dramatic wrong doings. Pray about what I say to my parents and what I do to them. Pray for me Times Square Church to become a better boy."

Lord we lift up this young man before You, God, and You hear the cry of his heart, and you are the God that answers those inner most cries, and gives us, Lord God, the giftings that this boy wants to be the son that his mom and dad can be proud of. Deliver him from his oppressors, oh God, and let his mom and dad never lose their heart for him. And we thank You for this, in Jesus name.

Ask For Faith to Forgive http://itstimetopray.org/radio-devotionals/ask-for-faith-to-forgive/ Mon, 14 Jan 2019 05:01:00 +0000 itstimetopray.org http://itstimetopray.org/?post_type=podcast&p=296727 Luke chapter 17 verses 3 and 4 says this, "If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him. And the apostles said to the Lord 'Increase our faith'".

It makes sense. Jesus says you will forgive them each time they come back to you and say, "what I did was wrong". Even though they go out and repeatedly do it; that's why the disciples said, "Lord increase our faith."

I don't know about you, but I can't do this. We can't do this. We live in a society that's filled with bitterness, it's filled with blame, filled with rehearsed grievances of the past, present and anticipated future. That seems to be our whole society today: blame, hate, finger pointing, lying, cursing. It's getting to the point where people are advocating violence. You and I need to ask for faith to be able to forgive.

Be surety for Your servant for good; do not let the proud oppress me."

You and I, are again, living in a time when evil has been emboldened to the point where those who want to live godly lives have become fair game to oppressors. However, the wicked are making the same mistake that they've always made throughout history.

They forget that God is our co-signer. When you and I run out of strength, when we run out of resources, He takes over. And when this happens, God help anyone who gets in His way.

You will be offended by someone. It's impossible that that's not going to happen. You are going to be offended at home. You are going to be offended in the work place. In other words, somebody is going to do you wrong at some time and you can set your watch by it. It is impossible that no offenses should come, because humankind is alienated from God.

People delight in wounding one another, that's just the nature of sin in the human heart. Jesus says, "but woe to him through whom they come." In other words, God says, you leave it to Me, you give it all to Me, I'll look after it. You forgive, I'll sort it all out in the end. If justice is due, then justice will be done. You leave it all to Me. Oh thank God.

Depart from me, you evildoers, for I will keep the commandments of my God! Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live; and do not let me be ashamed of my hope."

It is true that those of us who are called to stand for truth; even when the days are dark, are miraculously kept by the promises of God. However, as the night approaches, shadows draw near, whispering that our confidence in Him is in vain. They suggest that harm and shame will soon be our portion.

Today, I want to remind you that they're lies. They're sent by the evil one, who simply cannot deal with the truth. Christ has triumphed and God will keep you.

Today I am asking you to join with me to pray for a little 7-year-old girl, called Paige from Ridgefield, New Jersey who is suffering greatly from leukemia and complications. She really needs a miracle, and her family needs a miracle too.

So, Father, we lift this little girl up to You called Paige, this day Lord, and we recognize that You are the God of all power and all authority. And in this holiday season coming up, Lord, we ask for a great, great miracle for this family. Lord, would You touch this little girl, would you heal her body from this leukemia, would You give her a song of praise and joy for You, God, that would be a testimony of Your power and goodness for many, many years to come? Hold up her family, God, give them strength, give them courage.

Remember everybody, it's time to pray!

And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be a slave-just as the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.'"

The way of the cross is indeed foolishness to those who are perishing. It's foolish to a religious age that taught the people that the way to change the culture is through wealth, and status, and power. But Jesus taught, that the way to greatness, the way to win the victory, is by being the least of these.

Seek a servant's heart. And remember, it's time to pray!

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

America has come through many battles in her historically short lifespan. From the Declaration of Independence to our own Civil War, we have survived battles from without and battles from within. But now we have taken on a fight we cannot win, we have spiritually declared war on God.

Pray that God would give us leaders who understand this prayerless moment and have the courage to lead us again, in humility.

In other words, Jesus was teaching that in His Kingdom, which will outlast all the kingdoms of this world, eternal power, everlasting wealth, and true status are all found at the bottom of what this world offers, not at the top. Meaning that in God's kingdom, the way up is down. Truly amazing.

To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him. We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the prophets."

Shame and confusion will always be the end result of societies that have known but rejected the ways of God. History, without argument, proves this to be true.

As we look at the confusion of this country, at this time, we know that we have crossed the line into godlessness and are baring the rightful fruit of it. Our part is to ask for forgiveness; God's part is in verse nine, "To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him."

It's time to pray!

The book of Daniel chapter 9, verses 8 to 10 says these words, "O Lord, to us belongs shame of face, to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, because we have sinned against You. To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him. We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the prophets."

So, I have come down to deliver them.'"

On this New Year's Day, let's look at the moment we're now living in; the increasing downward spiral is very troubling indeed. We all see this spewing of hatred, violence, and division. Isn't it time we come together and pray for our nation? It's important that we know that we are not praying to some distant, cosmic entity who isn't interested in the things of this world or willing to intervene. He is a God who is willing to deliver us.

You and I need to stand in the strength of God, with the confidence of God, and we need to begin to call out for a nation that has truly lost its way. Now that would be a truly happy new year.

It's time to Pray!

Can you imagine, back in the Old Testament days only one man, once a year, was allowed into that place that God was? At any other time, if you went in there, you died. There was a veil that separated God from all the mass of humanity on the outside, even with all of its religion. God was so holy, that people who even saw His reflection feared that they were going to die, because no man could see the face of God and live. And that veil that separated them remained until Jesus cried out on Calvary, "it is finished." It was then that God tore that veil in half and now anyone who wants to call on the name of Jesus Christ can approach God. He has given us this opportunity to approach Him.

The Psalmist himself could find no rest in his mind, day or night. It seems that hope was being lost because of questions that he couldn't answer. Are we under judgment? Has God run out of patience and mercy? Then he began to remember how good God has been to former generations. How He has come at times when people looked like they didn't deserve it. He moved heaven and earth to set them free and led them with power through people who were naturally weak. He remembered this and you and I would be wise to remember it every day. He started the Psalm by saying, "I cried out to God with my voice-to God with my voice; and He gave ear to me."

My brother, my sister, it's time to pray!

Surely he has come up to defy Israel; And it shall be that the man who kills him the king will enrich him with great riches, will give him his daughter, and give his father's house exemption from taxes in Israel."

When religion departs from the presence of God and the power of God, all it can offer to the people is wealth, status and power. If you are listening to any voice that is offering you that in God's name, you are listening to a voice that has lost touch with the genuine power of God. Run when you hear that voice! Run for your life. It's leading you away from Christ. Not only is it dangerous for you to listen to that voice but it is a frightening thought to imagine the future of that speaker. There is one clear way to know the difference.

Find a Personal Place of Prayer http://itstimetopray.org/radio-devotionals/find-a-personal-place-of-prayer-2/ Wed, 26 Dec 2018 05:01:00 +0000 itstimetopray.org http://itstimetopray.org/?post_type=podcast&p=291378 Psalm 132, "Lord remember David, and all his afflictions, how he swore to the Lord and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob: 'Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, or go up to the comfort of my bed; I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.'"

It is so important today that every one of us find a personal place of prayer. It takes determination. Every distraction and diversion that can be formed against it will be. A prayerless person is left only to hear his own voice and to follow his own reasonings. But David says in verse 6, "Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah;" of course that's where Bethlehem was and, "we found it in the fields of the woods," in a place where shepherds dwelled, thank God.

It's a message in a day of great joy to all people.

The first Christmas ushered in a glorious invitation to people who were not really expecting it. Entering into a joy that they never experienced in this way. This was the first Christmas. God bursting onto the scene and all that He asked of them was to have faith.

"Will you let me lead you into something that is deeper, something more profound?" He said to them. "Something better than anything that you have ever known in your lives?"

This is what God wants to do. This Christmas, will you allow God to take you deeper into a life of prayer? Will you ask Him for it? Will you believe Him for it? He is still the same as He has always been.

Now, you and I know that these were wise men who brought gifts to the baby child, Jesus. Gold because He was a King. Frankincense because He was the Son of God, and myrrh because His coming death and burial would pay the price for our sins.

If you and I too were wise today, we can bring to Him this Christmas, something that they couldn't. You and I can lift our voices to Jesus knowing that in Him, the mercy of God already has been revealed. We can ask God for that same mercy to be made known to many, many people in our time.

Freedom Awaits This Christmas http://itstimetopray.org/radio-devotionals/freedom-awaits-this-christmas/ Tue, 18 Dec 2018 05:01:00 +0000 itstimetopray.org http://itstimetopray.org/?post_type=podcast&p=291359 Luke chapter 2, verses 17 and 18, "Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds."

One of the beauties of the conversion that you and I have in our lives is that there is this inner explosion of gladness, the sense of being in a right relationship with God. It comes also with the desire that others may come to know Him the way that we have. This is what happened in my life.

I was fearful, then suddenly free. God takes us beyond the limitations that once governed our lives and He brings us into something that brings glory to His name. Don't be minimized, don't be led by what others have spoken over your life. God has given you a divine purpose in your future. Freedom awaits you this Christmas!

Remember, it's time to pray!

Luke chapter 2, verses 17 and 18, "Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this child.

Let Jesus Speak http://itstimetopray.org/radio-devotionals/let-jesus-speak/ Mon, 17 Dec 2018 05:01:00 +0000 itstimetopray.org http://itstimetopray.org/?post_type=podcast&p=291358 Reading to you from Luke chapter 2 and verse 13, "And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 'Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!'"

It's amazing that the very first Christmas began with a celebration. A celebration so profound, it's as if the angels could not contain themselves. They had to break through that veil separating the heavens from the earth and come down where they could be visibly seen by man giving Glory to God. How could they not? The goodness of God was about to be made known to all humanity.

I used to be so excited at Christmas time. I didn't understand it but a celebration began to manifest itself because I knew something in this would affect the rest of my life. This Christmas, let Jesus speak to you. I promise you, you won't be sorry.

It's time to pray!

On the Outside, Looking In http://itstimetopray.org/radio-devotionals/on-the-outside-looking-in-2/ Fri, 14 Dec 2018 05:01:00 +0000 itstimetopray.org http://itstimetopray.org/?post_type=podcast&p=291374 The gospel of Luke chapter 2 and verse 7, "And she brought forth her first born son and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in the manger because there was no room for them in the inn."

You know here in New York City the festive seasons that we celebrate, friends and family often bring sorrow to so many who find themselves left on the outside looking in. If we would just let God show us those who have been standing there all along would suddenly come into view.

Proverbs 31 tells us that a virtuous bride has the law of kindness on her lips. Please invite someone to your table during the holidays this year. Remember this, that in the measure that you and I choose to give out Jesus said it will be returned to us again. It's time to be kind. It's time to reach out.

It's time to pray.

Consider Your Calling http://itstimetopray.org/radio-devotionals/consider-your-calling/ Thu, 13 Dec 2018 05:01:00 +0000 itstimetopray.org http://itstimetopray.org/?post_type=podcast&p=291357 1 Chronicles chapter 28, verses 9 and 10, "As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever. Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong and do it."

Consider the calling, David said to his son Solomon. Consider the calling on your life, to those who are listening to this. You have been called for a specific reason on the earth and I would like you today to consider your calling. Everything that you do, whether it's your family, your career, or your future, all gathers its strength at its purest purpose in how you view the calling of God on your life. It's time to consider the calling.

And remember, it's time to pray!
