2 Kings chapter 7 tells us the story of four very unassuming people who went into the enemies’ camp and found that they won a great, great victory. It was amazing; they just went from place to place. They ate, they drank, they carried silver and gold and clothing. And they came back and they entered tents, one after another, and it was just amazing what they had found.
But suddenly they said to each other, “We’re not doing what is right. This is a day of good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until the morning, some punishment may come upon us. Now therefore come, let us go and tell the king’s household.”
My brother, my sister, we don’t do well to be lead into such spoils of victory that we have found in the cross of Jesus Christ. And to keep it hidden from our cities and our towns, and our friends and the people we work with, our neighborhoods and even, in some cases, our own families.
If we will pray, God would give us the power to speak. It’s time to pray!
