Why Haven't You Prayed Yet?

Proverbs 6, beginning at verse 9, “How long will you slumber, O sluggard?

When will you rise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep. So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, and your need like an armed man” (Or another way of saying ‘your need like somebody who has just been robbed.’)

This is not the first time you heard me on the radio calling you to prayer. So tell me, why haven’t you prayed yet? As the scripture says, you continue along, having exhausted your resources and your strength, heading for total depletion-when it’s all so unnecessary. I want to remind you again today that God wants to help you. He really does. If I haven’t convinced you yet, then please just take a moment and talk to Him yourself and ask him, “Is this really true?”

It’s time to pray.

I need prayer. I am having a hard time with life and marriage. And feel like giving up on both right now. But I am still a fighter. And I'm not a quitter. But I need God's help right now. I need him to show me the right path to take. I don't believe in myself, my husband or life right now. What can I do to fix this? I pray, but it isn't helping me.
