Psalm 56 and verse 9 says this: “When I cry out to You, then my enemies will turn back. This I know, because God is for me.”
Sometimes we find ourselves, because of our own mistakes or failures, in a place where our enemies have the upper hand, and even, in some cases, have us surrounded. In 1 Kings chapter 22, King Jehoshaphat found himself in such a situation. Surrounded by opposing forces, he cried out to God for his help. Suddenly, those intent on harming him turned back from pursuing him.
If you have found yourself overwhelmed today because you are in the wrong place, doing what you shouldn’t do, cry out for God’s help. Remember, King David said these words: “God is for me.” And I’m telling you today that God is for you.
It’s time to pray.
