The book of Lamentations, chapter 2 and verse 19 says these words: “Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him for the life of your young children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street.”
New York City’s statisticians tell us that one in four teenagers in this city, has thought about or attempted suicide. Yet still as a society, we persist in taking away from our children their ultimate hope—to have a relationship with God; the hope of eternity with Him and a promise of full and meaningful life here on this earth.
For what conceivable reason would we as a society do this? I could only come up with one answer: America wants to sin without conscience.
It’s time for you and I to pray.
