Mark chapter 12, beginning at verse 30, “You shall love the Lord Your God with all your heart, with all your soul, will all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment, and the second like it is this, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.“
Let’s say theoretically that you were lost. Hell was destined to be your eternal home. Try as you might, lasting peace always seemed to elude you. What if your neighbor knew Christ, was saved and headed for an eternal happiness in Heaven? Would you want him to tell you? Would you hope that some of the light and love within him would shine in your direction? Would you hope that he would love you as much as he loves the hope that is living within his own heart? This Christmas, love your neighbor as you love yourself. It’s time to pray.
