Welsh Revival Part 1: One Act of Obedience

Psalm 85 verses 6 and 7, “Will you not revive us again that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your mercy Lord and grant us your salvation.

I love studying what God has done in the past. I suppose mainly because Hebrews chapter 13 and verse 8 says, “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever.” We have the account of one of the greatest social transformations of all times written by Oliver Price called The Welsh Revival of 1904 and ’05.

In it he states that, “It all began when a young Welshman, Evan Roberts, was repeatedly awakened to pray between 1 and 5 in the morning. The revival that followed packed churches for prayer meetings. A powerful spiritual awakening that brought 100,000 people to Christ was underway.” One act of obedience can still change a nation. We’re talking about what Jesus did yesterday.

It’s time to pray.
