Listen with me to the words of 2 Chronicles 5:13-14, “Indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound, to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying, ‘For He is good, for His mercy endures forever,’ that the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.”
Now the people most likely knew their own history of failure and their present weakness. But at a certain time, they came aware of the incredible goodness and mercy of God. Then, they with one voice began to proclaim it, and when they did so the presence of God came with such glory that we’re still talking about it today. We need the glory of God in our churches again.
It’s time to pray.
