In the book of 2 Corinthians, chapter 3, verses 5 and 6 say these words, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”
You know, sometimes we can get so discouraged that prayer just seems like one more impossible thing to do. You and I can begin to feel as Paul once did with fears without and fighting within. God, however, has given us all that we need to be ambassadors of His mercy. Not by our record of successes, but the power of His life and love inside of us. Therefore, we can come boldly to the throne of grace. Help is there for you and I and for others.
It’s time to pray.
