The book of Esther chapter 3 verses 5 and 6 says this, “When Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow or pay him homage, Haman was filled with wrath. But he disdained to lay hands on Mordecai alone, for they had told him of the people of Mordecai. Instead, Haman sought to destroy all the Jews who were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus-the people of Mordecai.”
In this story you and I see a pattern that repeats itself throughout history. Men become angry when they see themselves in a dominant position and plot retribution against those who will not agree with them and their new social view. Though a victory for God’s people was won, it did not come without someone stepping out in faith and many others turning to prayer and fasting. You and I must not think that in our time the same victory will be ours if we neglect to follow the same course of action.
It’s time again to pray!
