Philippians chapter 4, verse 8, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.”
We’re bombarded with negativity every day. From media; from conversations on the street-voices of accusation, doom, and anger seem to be abounding. How does one keep from getting swallowed up by all of this?
Paul says that we can choose our focus. Elsewhere in Scripture tells us that those whose mind focuses on the ways of God will be kept in perfect peace. Instead of letting this runaway train of human confusion occupy our thoughts, let’s train our minds to stay on the right track.
It’s time to pray.
This blesses my heart today ,it helpe to face all my students and employees
With greater confidence .
Thank you Pastor Carter, this verse is much more of a struggle for me than to love our enemies. Definitely it is a time to pray
