Jeremiah chapter 5 and verse 22: “Do you not fear me says the Lord? Will you not tremble at my presence who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree that it cannot pass beyond it? And though its waves toss to and fro, yet they cannot prevail. Though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it.”
The famous song writer, Horatio Spafford, passing over the ocean spot where a storm had claimed the lives of his children, penned these famous words, “When sorrows like sea billows roll, whatever my lot Thou hast taught me to say, it is well, it is well with my soul.”
As God’s people, God Himself has placed boundaries in our lives over which sorrow cannot pass. Sorrow can’t take away your hope no matter how faint it is for the future. Your sorrow may endure for a night, but it cannot pass over and swallow you. The sun will shine again.
It’s time to pray!
