The Power of Comfort

2 Corinthians chapter 7, beginning at verse 5, Paul says, “For indeed, when we came to Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears. Nevertheless God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus.

Proverbs chapter 25 and verse 25 says, “as cold water to a weary soul, so is good news from a far country.” Have you ever been encouraged by someone when you didn’t expect it? A kind gesture, an encouraging word, or even just a smile can put sunshine back into somebody’s cloudy day.

Ask Jesus to make you the Titus in someone’s life today. You have the power to comfort somebody who desperately needs it.
