The Old Should Pray Too
/

Most people my age are looking to retire, but I’m not. I feel like the psalmist in Psalm 71 who said these words in verses 17 and 18: “Oh God, you have taught me from my youth, and to this day I declare your wondrous works. Now also, when I’m old and grey-headed. Oh God, do not forsake me until I have declared your strength to this generation, your power to everyone who is to come.

We live in a time where the youth in our streets are so lacking in the knowledge of God’s power. It falls upon all of us to be a demonstration to them of the love and of the power of God. The prophet Malachi said one of the signs of the last days is that God is going to come and turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the children back to their fathers.

I believe this with all my heart, and this is why I still pray. It’s time to pray!

Happy Father's Day dear "young" Dad of so many hundreds of thousands -- especially chosen out of all the world to represent good fatherhood as a Pastor in the last days across the whole world.

Please, though, remember you haven't yet reached 3 score and 10 !!!! You are still "young" and seem many years younger than you are miraculously and so much younger than many of our depressed youth. The word "old" in our day has such sad connotations of lack of competence and wisdom. It is sad.
