It is true that sometimes you and I can feel so down because words of fear and discouragement has gotten into our minds. Listen to words of King David in Psalm 3: “Lord, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. Many are they who say of me, ‘There is no help for him in God.'”
But David was a man of prayer; he knew enough to turn to God. Verse 4 of Psalm 3 says, “I cried to the Lord with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill.”
Now what’s the evidence that God hears us? Listen to what God did for King David: He says, “Thou, oh Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.”
My brother my sister, I am telling you, with the promise from the Word of God—if you’ll begin to pray, if you’ll begin to cry out to God, even when you feel discouraged, He will be the lifter of your head.
It’s time to pray.
