In the book of Second Kings, chapter 20, a story is told about a man who began pray when everything had seemingly come to an end. Even the Word of God told him, “Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live.”
Nevertheless, when he began to pray, hope came again and things began to change. He was given a renewed and extended life, and the city he lived in was delivered from its enemies. Now today, many of us can clearly identify with the beginning of this story. Sometimes we feel as if everything is against us. Our lives have come to an end, and what possible difference could God make through us? But the good news is, if you and I would pray, the end that Hezekiah experienced can be ours as well.
It is time to pray.
