In the gospel of Luke, chapter 15, verses 8 to 10, Jesus was speaking about His own heart when He said these words: “What woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it? And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!’ Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
You and I are this lamp that God lights in the world. Didn’t Jesus say, “You are the light of the world, a city set upon a hill could not be hidden?” The world is the house that, through us, He sweeps to find every lost person that He died to save. He gives us His heart to search for and find out what brings the deepest joy of all of heaven.
Oh please, it’s time to pray.
