Psalm 91 beginning at verse 5: “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in the darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.”
Once again, terrorism has visited our nation. What should the response of those of us be? Firstly, we must understand that according to Scripture, perfect love casts out all fear. Loving God and those created in His image gives us the power to love even those who hate us.
Secondly, we must see our lives from an eternal perspective and re-engage with our purpose in this world-and that is to bear witness to the living and loving Savior and to win the lost back again to Him.
Above everything, remember: It’s time to pray.
