A recent Jihadist website urged its followers to make homemade bombs and to cause chaos and damage and loss of life in Times Square. I live near Times Square; I spend much of my time here, but I’m not afraid of these things. For the Word of God says, “Whoever dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.’ Surely he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge. His truth will be your shield and buckler. You will not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.”
I am not afraid. I intend to take terror by the throat. I know the power of prayer. It’s time to pray.
