Mark, chapter 5, beginning at verse 30, “And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, ‘Who touched My clothes?'” But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?'” When I read this story I can’t help but see the irony in it. So many today run from place to place, and meeting to meeting, seeking that special touch from God. They swoon, they sway, and do all kinds of acrobatics to get His attention, often, sadly, to no avail. Why, today, don’t we just try what she did? It’s called prevailing prayer. It’s called pressing through the crowd of seekers with all of their rules and their prohibitions, and simply reaching out and touching him. Immediately, she was healed and became a testimony that we still talk about today.
It’s time to pray.
AMEN!!!! Praise God
Ha!
That is a good one Carter!
Jesus just loves to get alone with
us. And I love to get alone with Him!
I am in Seattle and have been
all over the world. I love your
Church dearly. Please remain
Steadfast in the word, the gospel,
And yes, prayer!
I have been in the streets of NYC
Sharing the gospel many times.
I recognize spiritual darkness in
Seattle : ( but when I am in NYC,
I FEEL the prayers! I can almost see The little widows on their knees In tenement buildings praying for God to pour out in your city!
You and Cymbala have created a
spiritual culture through prayer that
I have rarely experienced! It paves
The road for people like me sharing Christ with prayer prepared hearts!
Laboring together
