Listen to the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4, beginning at verse 11, “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
You know, most certainly the classrooms of Paul’s life are not courses for which any of us would easily sign up: beaten, betrayed, abandoned, shipwrecked, disregarded, accused, imprisoned, ignored, and burdened. What in the world could come from this? Actually, in the world, nothing-but in the spirit comes the experience of knowing that in Christ I can endure all things. The diploma will give you a voice that years after you are gone, people will still remember.
It’s time to pray.
Thank you, Pastor Carter. Your daily devotionals are very encouraging; especially this one, because when I read of all the things that Paul went through, my problems are nothing in comparison to his.
Thank you for reminding me that I can do all things through JESUS CHRIST who strengthens me.
God bless you.
