Start Singing

2 Chronicles, chapter 5, beginning at verse 13: “Indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals, and instruments of music, and praised the Lord saying: ‘For He is good, for His mercy endures forever,’ that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

What an amazing picture. Every thought that could have come from man is bowing in submission to the goodness and the mercy of God. King David, in Psalm 23, had this same song burst in his soul after being kept through a time when his enemies, and even the fear of death, had been at his doorstep.

Let the glory of God fill the temple of your life today. No matter what you are facing start singing, “God is good, His mercy endures forever.”

It’s time to pray.
