The book of Daniel, chapter 9, verses 8 to 10 say these words, “O Lord, to us belongs shame of face, to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, because we have sinned against You. To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him. We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the prophets.”
Shame and confusion will always be the end result of societies that have known but rejected the ways of God. History, without argument, proves this to be true. As we look at the confusion of this country, at this time, we know that we have crossed the line into godlessness and are bearing the rightful fruit of it. Our part is to ask for forgiveness; God’s part is in verse 9: “To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him.”
It’s time to pray.
