Psalm 85:6-7, the psalmist cries out, “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You? Show us Your mercy Lord, and grant us Your salvation.”
I want to read to you from a historical account of the Great Awakening that happened in America in the year 1905.
“It first burst out in East, like a sweeping fire through the Eastern states. The Methodists in Philadelphia soon had over six thousand new converts in membership. The ministers of Atlantic City claimed there were only fifty adults left unconverted in a population of sixty thousand. Churches in New York City took in hundreds on a single Sunday. It rolled like a tidal wave through the South, packing churches for prayer and confession, and adding thousands of people, daily, to the membership rolls.”
Oh my beloved friend, it’s time to pray.
