Psalm 77 is a Psalm that each of us should read, and we should read it often. The Psalmist, himself, could find no rest in his mind-day or night. It seems as hope was being lost because of questions that he couldn’t answer. Are we under judgment? Has God run out of patience and mercy?
Then he remembered how good God has been to former generations. How He came at times when people looked like they didn’t deserve it. He moved heaven and earth to set them free and lead them with power. . . through people who are naturally weak. He remembered this, and you and I would be wise to remember this every day.
He started the Psalm by saying, “I cried out to God with my voice; to God with my voice, and He gave ear to me.”
My brother, my sister, it’s time now to pray.
