1 Timothy chapter 2 beginning at verse 1, Paul says, “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.”
The Bible tells you and I that we are to pray for our leaders–in fact, we are to pray for all who are in authority. It doesn’t say that we are always to agree with the way they are leading, but that through our prayers there might be godliness and peace in the land and that our leaders might come to the knowledge of a true salvation. God Himself declares this attitude of our hearts to be good and acceptable in His sight; that’s really what matters.
It’s time to pray!
