Let’s you and I consider today the words of King David at a difficult time in his life. Psalm 25, beginning at verse 16, “Turn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me, for I am desolate and afflicted. The troubles of my heart have enlarged; bring me out of my distresses! Look on my affliction and my pain, and forgive all my sins.”
You know, it’s true that actions have consequences. If you and I choose to disregard the words of God, it always leads to emptiness, hardship and regret. In these times we can be tempted to give up entirely and be prone to forgetting that a throne of grace calls to each of us-not in our time of strength but when we find ourselves in times of our deepest need. Consider the loss had David given up at this point in his life! Consider the loss if you give up as well.
It’s time to pray.
