Personal Cost and Hardship

In the book of Acts chapter 27, verse 26, the apostle Paul tells those on the journey with him that they were going to run aground on a certain island. In our day, the disregard of God’s word and the insistence on forming a new society has led us into an unfamiliar place. Yet even here, the clear word and power of God can make a wonderful difference. Though in a strange land, incredible strength and provision, the direction, the healing of God is about to be made known again. It wouldn’t come back without a cost, but it would return through someone who made the choice to seek God and the good of others in spite of the personal cost and hardship.

There’s a lot that we can learn from the life of the apostle Paul, but the foremost thing that you and I need to know today is that it’s time to pray.

    Hello Pastor Carter,
This is Rick Lamar. Thanks for the tweet, I am staying in touch, God has been wonderful to my wife and myself. We miss your messages but we found a decent church and are very involved already.
Love to you and the body. Keep preaching my friend.
May our Gracious Lord bless you mightily, especially in the new year.
    By our Lord's Grace
