Don’t Draw Back

Don't Draw Back

The book of Hebrews, chapter 10, verses 37 and 38, say these words: “For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”

We all get tired. The human tendency is to take whatever victory that we have, go home with it and say, “Well, this is enough.” But you and I live in a perilous time. We have people all around us who are facing today, tomorrow and eternity without God. It’s time for you and me to talk to God about them. We must believe again that our victory might also become theirs. We must care. We must come back.

It’s time for you and I to pray.

God Is Restoring Families

God Is Restoring Families

Here in New York City, on our Tuesday night live on the Internet, worldwide prayer meeting, many, many wonderful answers to prayer are coming in. The Lord God is giving people salvation; He’s answering their prayers to be set free from addiction; from depression. Families are being restored. Listen to these reports:

Brooklyn, New York: “Please join me in praising God and Jesus’ holy Name for the miraculous return of my niece to her mother and to her father, after 30 years! God is answering. Keep praying for miracles, in Jesus’ name.”

From Brooklyn, New York: “My sister and I are reconciling our differences.”

From Rego Park, New York: “I thank God, after more than four years of being estranged from my daughter, God answered my prayer at His will and in His time.”

Oh thank God, thank God for the prayers that are being answered!

Folks, it’s time to pray.

A Call To The Weary

A Call To The Weary

The book Revelation, chapter 2, verses 2 to 4, Jesus spoke to people who belonged to Him: “I know your works, your labor, your patients, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. You’ve tested those who say they’re apostles and are not, and you have found them to be liars. And you have persevered and have patience and have labored for My Name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love.”

This was a hard-working church that forgot they could talk to God. Though they had forgotten about those days, Jesus hadn’t. He remembered the tears, the shared love, the answers that He gave when the way for them, at one time, seemed impossible. He was calling out to His church, just as He is calling out to you and me today, and His cry to her was, “Come back! Let’s walk and let’s talk together again.”

It’s time to pray.

One Came Back

One Came Back

The gospel of Luke, chapter 17, verses 12 to 18, tell us the story of one person who was marvelously healed of God, came back, and with a loud voice began to glorify Him. Many, many people of our times have known the pleasure of being freed from the stain, the penalty, and the power of sin. Sadly though, some have taken this joyful touch of God and gone their way, unconcerned about the very work of God that has set them free.

Praise God, one came back. One voice, one life, one person falling at the feet of Jesus can make a tremendous difference. How do I know this? Well, we’re still talking about it today.

Let it be your voice that God hears, let it be you who is glorifying God, let it be that who has come back and says, “God what would You have me to do to glorify Your Name?”

It’s time to pray.

My Son Is a Lunatic

My Son Is a Lunatic

The gospel of Matthew, chapter 17, verses 14 and 15, say these words: “And when they came to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to Him and saying, ‘Oh Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is a lunatic and sore vexed; for oft times he falls into the fire and oft into the water.'”

This poor man knew that there is nothing he could to help his son, but he knew he knew who could help this child. Today, you and I find ourselves looking at the next generation being cast into the waters of confusion and pushed into the pursuit of ungodly passion. Even in our schools, these things have become the norm. I believe this is a tragedy, and I believe it’s a grief to the heart of God. And though it’s beyond us, it’s never beyond God.

For you and I, it’s time to pray.

Every Voice Counts

Psalm 115, verses 16 and 17, say these words: “The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s, but the earth He has given to the children of men. The dead do not praise the Lord, nor any who go down into silence.”

My friend, we can’t influence the heavens, but we can influence the earth. Those whose voices become silent fail to realize that their lack of prayer keeps the name of Jesus Christ from being exalted—especially in the lives of people over whom their lives could have made a difference.

You and I are living at time in history where every voice counts. If ever there were a time to pray, you must know that time is now. Don’t believe the lie that your voice has no power to move the hand of God! Your voice counts!

It’s time to pray.
