Out of the Belly of Hell

There are many people listening to my voice today who feel like you really can’t pray. You would say to me, ‘how could I possibly pray if you knew my struggles and trials and difficulties? How could my voice and my life ever make a difference for anybody in this generation?’

Such was the case of the prophet Jonah in the Old Testament. Listen to what he said, “I cried to the Lord because of my affliction and He answered me out of the belly of sheol.” That means I was in an impossible place, “I cried and You heard my voice and You brought up my life from the pit, oh Lord my God. When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord and my prayer went up to You into Your holy temple.” And you of course know what God did. God spoke to his situation brought him out of a place of impossibility and brought him right into the place where his life could have an effect on his generation.

It’s time to pray!

Also another great verse from the Prophet Jonah 2:9. He learned this and then what happened, in the very next verse God's heart is this way for all people and once our hearts become like this, watch what God will do through us, amen!
