Proverbs, chapter 31, beginning at verse eight: “Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.“
If we truly want a spiritual awakening in our day, then we must expand the borders of our hearts and cease lifting our voices only for our own benefit. Just as children do, many of God’s people open their mouths just to see what new thing they can consume.
Self-focus in the house of God has greatly weakened the testimony of Christ in our society. We must now call out for the lives of those who can’t yet speak, but yet are appointed to die; and for those who do live, yet they live in poverty and disadvantage.
It’s time to pray.
