On The Outside, Looking In

The gospel of Luke, chapter 2, and verse 7: “And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”

You know, here in New York City, the festive seasons that we celebrate with friends and family often bring sorrow to so many who find themselves left on the outside looking in. If we will just let God show us, those who have been standing there all along will suddenly come into view.

Proverbs 31 tells us that a virtuous bride has the law of kindness on her lips. Please invite someone to your table during the holidays this year. Remember this, that in the measure that you and I choose to give out, Jesus said that it will be returned to us again.

It’s time to be kind. It’s time to reach out.

It’s time to pray.
