In second Timothy, chapter 1, verse 6 and 7, the Apostle Paul says these words: “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
I think of my own life years ago—I struggled with fear for over nine years—a crippling, debilitating fear. But when I came to Jesus Christ, I began to read the Word of God, and I believed it. On the strength of a single verse of Scripture, it says, “If God before us, who can be against us.” I stood that fear to the face, and God, in His mercy and power, delivered me from nine years of torment in thirty seconds of time. God has not given us a spirit of fear; you don’t have to be afraid!
It’s time to pray.
