In 2 Timothy 1:6-7, the Apostle Paul says these words: “therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
I think of my own life years ago: I struggled with fear for over nine years–crippling, debilitating fear. But when I came to Jesus Christ, I began to read the Word of God and I believed it. And on the strength of a partial verse of scripture which said, “if God be for us, who can be against us,” I stood that fear to the face, and God in His mercy and power delivered me from nine years of torment in thirty seconds of time.
God has not given us a spirit of fear. You don’t have to be afraid.
It’s time to pray.
Praise God! He is truly good and merciful to us!
