Job 21:1–3 says, “Then Job answered and said, ‘Listen carefully to my speech and let this be your consolation. Bear with me that I may speak. And after I have spoken, keep mocking.’”
Job was in a hard spot. Everything in his life seemed to be going wrong. The people around him began to suggest that maybe he and God weren’t as close as he had confessed to them. This world will mock you as a Christian when trouble comes your way. Don’t let their words erode your confidence in God.
Jesus will not fail you. That is His promise to you. Job’s mockers were brought to shame, and he got the visible victory that had always been his. It will be your victory, too. In this hour, this time, in God’s way.
It’s time to pray.
