Make Us Glad For the Right Reasons
/

Psalms 90, beginning at verse 15, the Psalmist says “Make us glad according to the days in which You have afflicted us, The years in which we have seen evil. Let Your work appear to Your servants, And Your glory to their children. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.

Today, your prayers should sound something like this: “Oh God, show me what your purpose for my life is. Not for me only, but for all of your people. Let those closest to me be touched by what you alone can do through my life. Make me stable in your power. Let your work in me be beautiful and something to be desired by others when they see it. Let me not be discouraged from seeking you because of past failure, let your work begin anew in me today.

It’s time to pray!

I truly don't know what I'd do without your words, pastor each morning. Victory seems so slippery. It comes and goes.I must seize it each day, even each moment, it seems. Thank you for being my pastor, even so many miles away! Yes, God's Word is my lifeline, but everyone needs a pastor, and you are mine. THANK YOU. I THANK GOD FOR YOU!!!!

Today we buried my wife's 12 year old nephew. He suddenly passed away on Sunday morning. This young boy was an incredible gift to all around him. Truly giving to his parents as a great reminder that life is eternal not just for a little while here on earth but eternal. In the midst of sorrow I also personally discover this to be true, the minister who would officially do the burial couldn't make it I was asked to share and lead it. Oh what a privilege! This devotional summarizes it all as I nervously avail myself to Jesus to use me in despite of my short comings. And oh boy He did! My walk has been renewed as I've realized that all Jesus ask of us is to follow and go daily to wherever he leads, what a moment to be on the earth! please pray that God may continue to give sight to the blind.

Amen Pastor Conlon. This is one of my daily prayers and I still have not fully understood Jesus' answer yet. But I still hold fast to my faith that one day our Lord will fully reveal the answer to me. May God bless you and this ministry.
