Psalm 36, beginning at verse 10, “Oh, continue Your loving-kindness to those who know You, and Your righteousness to the upright in heart. Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked drive me away. There the workers of iniquity have fallen; they have been cast down and are not able to rise.”
We must pray now that God will give us the power to continue to stand spiritually strong. The psalmist warns that both the pride of success and the threats of evil have the power to take away our confidence and our strength. The psalmist cries out that the Lord will be kind in the mist of his frailty and show him the right way in which he should walk.
O God, be kind to us, for only You can keep us standing in such a dark and evil time.
It’s time to pray.
