The book of the prophet Isaiah, chapter 60, verses 1 and 2, “Arise, shine for your light has come. And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, a darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.“
What an incredible promise, to any person, that in a time of deep social darkness that God will reveal His glory on the countenance of those who belong to Him. Moses once cried, “please show me your glory,” as the Lord passed by. Moses saw mercy, grace, goodness, truth, and God’s willingness to walk with us in the middle of our struggles.
The glory of the Lord puts confidence and gladness in every heart that will open itself to what God is always longing to do. Lord, let Your glory be on us again.
It’s time to pray!
