Matthew chapter 8, verses 2 and 3: “And behold, the leper came and worshiped Him, saying, ‘Lord, if you are willing you can make me clean.’ Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, ‘I am willing. Be cleansed.’ Immediately, his leprosy was cleansed.”
Sometimes we find ourselves in such a wretched condition that we wonder, “If I did pray, would God even care to draw near to me?” Well, this story answers that question. Not only did Jesus draw near, but by touching the leper, he also became a partaker and identified with his suffering.
The point is that Jesus is not offended by your struggle. When you call out, He will draw near to you. And when He touches you, your struggle must give way to the power of His victory. Let Him touch you!
It’s time to pray.
