In the Gospel of John, chapter 16 and verse 24, Jesus said these words to His followers: “Until now, you have asked nothing in My Name. Ask and you’ll receive, that your joy might be full.”
Now how perplexing that having walked with Jesus three years—seeing His miracles, witnessing His power, seeing His compassion for the people—that these disciples have been, in spite of this, silent when it comes to prayer.
I think about you and me, or many churches across the nation, where we have many testimonies of Scripture—we know of the compassion of God; we have the history of miracles—yet He looks down upon the churches of this nation, “Until now, you have asked nothing in My Name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy might be full!”
My brother, my sister, Jesus wants to answer prayer! It’s time for you and me to pray.
