Psalm 31:4-5: David says, “Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, for You are my strength. Into Your hand I commit my spirit. You have redeemed me, oh Lord God of truth.”
Little did David know how much the Lord Jesus Christ loved and was intermingled with his prayers. When you and I begin to pray, it’s amazing how much we begin to share of the heart of God and with the heart of God. This verse that David wrote down was quoted by Jesus Christ Himself when He was on the cross—even Psalm 22:1, where Jesus quoted the words of David: “My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?”
But Jesus also was a partaker of the victory that David wrote down at the end of this psalm: “I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, for You considered my trouble. You’ve not shut me up into the hand of the enemy.”
It’s time to pray.
