Psalm 150 beginning at verse 3 says this, “Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp; Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with the loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
As we’re beginning a new year, how about determining to sing a new song and a deeper song of praise? Psalm 146 tells us that men’s words go into the grave with them, but the words of God live forever. By His promises we are helped when oppressed, fed when hungry, freed from captivity, raised up, shown the way forward, preserved and delivered from all of our enemies. He even tells us to do a happy dance while we are singing. For real folks, this can be you in 2018.
Remember, not only praise, but it’s time to pray!
