Psalm 31, verses 1 and 2, “In You, O Lord, I put my trust; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Your righteousness. Bow down Your ear to me, deliver me speedily; be my rock of refuge, a fortress of defense to save me.”
Once upon a time in a land far, far away, there was a good country, and in sincerity, they put the words “In God We Trust” on their currency. Over time, their love of their money caused the love of those first words to simply fade away. Soon they began to act in shameful ways until their reputation of being good was also in danger of being lost forever.
There were still some people, though, who never forgot those first words. They began to pray, and suddenly things began to change.
It’s time to pray.
