Psalm 56 verses 3 and 4, “Whenever I am afraid I will trust in you. In God, I will praise his word. In God, I have put my trust. I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?“
The psalmist David once found himself surrounded by enemies who were hostile towards all that he had held dear and believed. I am sure that he felt the threatenings of forces surrounding him that wanted to overpower both the testimony of God and his people. David believed God.
Though finding himself in a terrible place, he still believed that God’s promises to him could be trusted. The story goes on to tell us that once he began to pray, his fears were abated and victory began to be his one more time.
If you need renewed strength today, remember, it’s time to pray.
