In the Song of Solomon, chapter 8 and verse 5, we have these words: “Who is this, coming up from the wilderness leaning on her beloved?”
This is an incredible picture of a bride leaning upon her bridegroom. This bride has been into the wilderness, and it reminds me that the feelings of our infirmities touch Jesus Christ. He was tested in all points and yet without sin. So you and I can come boldly now to the throne of grace to find help in our time of need.
Jesus is not aloof from us, He’s not indifferent to us, and He’s not angry with you or me in our struggles. Call upon Him, even if you’re in a wilderness time in your life, and you can know for sure that He will come and get you. He will give you strength. He will guide you to whatever place you need to go. If you find yourself in a wilderness today—do yourself a favor—cry out to Him.
It’s time to pray.
