Proverbs chapter 14, verse 34 says theses words: “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

On March 30th, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln called this day to be a national humiliation fasting and prayer. Theses were his words: “It is the duty of nations as well as of men to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon, and to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.”

My brother my sister, it’s time to pray.

Abraham Lincoln represents the best of human leadership willing to risk everything and not be afraid to use God's word to affirm his faith and inspire others to do the same.

What more can be asked of leadership in a nation that has been so blessed by God. Lord hear our humble prayers again and turn this lost nation back to Your way of truth and righteousness.

Jesus lives and He is Lord!
