In John chapter 14 and verse 16, Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commandments, and I will pray for the Father, and he will give you another helper that he may abide with you forever, the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees him nor knows him, but you know him for he dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you, orphans. I will come to you.”
God did not intend or design us to do anything in our strength. He makes that very, very clear in the scriptures. We couldn’t save ourselves, and we can’t live the Christian life by ourselves.
Let’s ask the Lord to forgive us for our arrogance and for trying to do this faith walk in our strength. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the power today to stand and be a light in the darkness in this generation.
My brother and my sister, above all things, remember, it’s time to pray.
