Matthew 9, beginning at verse 20, says, “And, suddenly a woman who had a flow of blood for 12 years came from behind and touched the hem of his garment for she said to herself, ‘If only I may touch his garment, I shall be made well.’ Jesus turned around and, when he saw her, said, ‘Be of good cheer, daughter. Your faith has made you well.'”
The woman in this story knew two things. Firstly, the unceasing flow of blood had taken her strength and was now threatening to take her life. Secondly, if she could press through the crowd and touch Jesus, she knew she could be made well again.
In America today, there are 3,562 abortions every 24 hours. This wicked practice threatens to take away both our remaining strength and our future. Somebody has to press through the crowd and touch Jesus again.
It’s time to pray.
