In the book of Second Kings, chapter 2, verse 13 and 14, the Scripture tells us of Elisha—who took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan River. Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen, struck the water and said, “Where is the God of Elijah?” And where he struck the water, it divided this way and that.
The Scripture tells us that Elijah crossed over. Now when he took this mantle of Elijah and called out, “Where is the God of Elijah?” he was saying this: “Lord, I will walk with You if You will come to us once again.”
The Lord came and opened a way that was impossible to man, gave him power to endure the mockery of the godless, and through him brought healing to a city.
My brother, my sister, it is time for you and I to pray.
