In the book of 2 Kings chapter 2 verse 13 and 14, the scripture tells us of Elisha who, “took the mantel of Elijah that had fallen from him and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan River. Then he took the mantel of Elijah that had fallen, he struck the water and said, ‘Where is the God of Elijah?’ And when he had struck the water it divided this way and that.” And the scripture tells us that “Elijah crossed over.”
Now when he took this mantel of Elijah and called out, “where is the God of Elijah?” He was saying this, Lord I will walk with You if you will come to us once again. The Lord came and opened a way that is impossible to man, gave him power to endure the mockery of the godless and through him brought healing to a city.
My brother my sister, it is time for you and I to pray!
